Vision
The Himalayan Cataract Project sees virtually no boundaries to what it hopes to achieve in eye care in the developing world. We are currently looking to two major goals for the future. The immediate goal is to expand the Tilganga Eye Centre (see Tilganga Expansion) so that it can increase its influence as the center of eye care in the Himalayan region. Our overarching goal is to make our programs so effective that we eliminate the growing backlog of the treatable blind in the Himalaya. We believe we can do this in the next five years. We envision expanding our programs and inspiring similar programs in other developing regions throughout the world to alleviate the suffering caused by blindness.
