HIgh-Volume Cataract Campaign | Woldia, Ethiopia

news | May 05, 2015

A tremendous impact has been made on the remote hillside market town in northern Ethiopia.

For people of this region, losing eyesight is one of the most devastating things that can happen.

For farmers, it means the inability to provide for yourself or your family. For many elderly, it means living in dark seclusion. For children, it dramatically shortens their life span.

A high-volume cataract campaign such as this not only restored sight to nearly a thousand people, it restored their lives.
