In Ghana: Eye Screenings, Surgeries and a New Surgical Center
In August 2008, Dr. Seth Lartey, HCP partner based in Kumasi, Ghana, returned from two outreach eye camps in Ejura, Ghana. His team screened over 2,000 patients and performed 300 surgeries.
The HCP is moving forward with plans to construct a surgical center at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana. HCP recently received news of USAID-ASHA’s intention to provide support for construction services and news of the Church of Latter-Day Saints’ intention to provide support for commodity procurement.
