HCP honored with top rating from Charity Navigator for sound fiscal management

The Himalayan Cataract Project (HCP) has earned its sixth consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for sound fiscal management.

In a letter to HCP on May 1, 2011, Charity Navigator CEO Ken Berger reported that “only 4% of the charities we rate have received at least 6 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Himalayan Cataract Project consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. This ‘exceptional’ designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Himalayan Cataract Project from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

Charity Navigator’s highest rating is four stars. It represents an “exceptional” charity that “exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in its Cause.”
