Scenes from Ethiopia

When Dr. Matt Oliva was in Ethiopia earlier this year for a high-volume cataract workshop, he was joined by a film crew from National Geographic Poland working on a program highlighting women around the world helping other women. The film crew was at Quiha Zonal Hospital to feature Dr. Yewubnesh, a former HCP Fellow. The crew was so moved by the experience, they decided to do a second hour-long show highlighting the cataract workshop which will air in the next six months. Since the first show aired, HCP has received more interest and donations from Polish viewers, and Dr. Oliva was interviewed on the popular “Polish Today Show."
