HCP Featured in TIME Magazine & Charlie Rose Show

Dr. Tabin and the HCP were featured in TIME Magazine on September 17, 2007, in an article titled A Global Coalition of Good by Jeffrey Sachs. 

Dr. Tabin was also mentioned on the Charlie Rose Show on September 5, 2007 on a program featuring Richard Stengel, managing editor of "Time",  Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University and Caroline Kennedy.   The panel discussed Time magazine’s cover story on National Service.

In 1993, 15,000 cataract surgeries were performed in Nepal, only 1000 of which used intraocular lenses. In contrast, in 2003, over 118,000 cataract surgeries were performed in Nepal and over 98 percent were done with microsurgery and lens implants.
