International Training in the United States

HCP facilitates exchanges between fellows and residents from centers of academic excellence in the United States as well as exchanges for exceptional young ophthalmologists from the developing world who need additional education and training in one of the sub-specialties.

The John A. Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah serves as the HCP’s US Medical Base and primary fellowship placement site. Fellows spend anywhere from one to sixth months training in one of the sub-specialty fields: cornea, retina, glaucoma, pediatrics, uveitis and neuro-ophthalmology.
