Send a Mother’s Day Card that Makes an Impact and Changes Lives

This Mother's Day, honor someone you care about with a $50 tribute gift to HCP and help provide two sight-restoring surgeries in sub-Saharan Africa or Asia

Meet Meena, a bilaterally blind patient whose sight was restored by HCP Co-Founder, Dr. Sanduk Ruit at an outreach in Lumbini, Nepal. A mother of three, Meena traveled about 30 kilometers across the border from India with her husband to have cataract surgery on both her eyes.

While waiting for her procedure Meena was anxious and fearful her vision would not be restored but found strength in the hope that she could watch her children grow up. Having lost her vision two years prior to having her youngest child, she was most excited to see her. The next day when Dr. Ruit removed Meena’s patches, she exclaimed “Baba!” as she saw her husband again for the first time in years.

This mother’s day, honor your mother with a Himalayan Cataract Project tribute card and give the gift of sight. Your gift could help a mother like Meena, see her children grow.
