Himalayan Cataract Project performs 240 sight-restoring surgeries for National Cataract Outreach Program

In partnership with Ghana’s National Cataract Outreach Program, the Himalayan Cataract Project and a dedicated team of ophthalmologists, nurses, optometrists, and volunteers performed a total of 240 sight-restoring cataract surgeries in Cape Coast, Ghana with new HCP Partner, Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH).

In attendance for the March 4-8 outreach event were HCP Medical Coordinator for Ghana, Dr. John Welling; Drs. Benedicta Appiah-Thompson and Sylvia Brookman from Cape Coast Teaching Hospital; Operation Eyesight Universal and HCP Partner, Dr. Bo Wiafe; HCP In-Country Representative, Oscar Debrah; HCP Volunteers, KB Boggs of Kenneth Boggs Suits, Comedian Klarity, B.J Thomas of Alder Securities, Quinn Rivera of Humbled Daily and Data Specialist, Matt Clason.
