Achieving the Impossible: Eradicating World Blindness | Geoff Tabin | TEDxSaltLakeCity

Dr. Geoff Tabin, an Everest summitter and eye surgeon, has the goal of curing blindness around the globe. Sound far-fetched? Watch this talk to hear how Dr. Tabin and his colleagues are solving this prevalent health issue. Dr. Geoff Tabin, Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Director of the Division of International Ophthalmology at the John A. Moran Eye Center, University of Utah, is also Co-Founder of the Himalayan Cataract Project. Dr. Tabin spends a considerable part of the year working abroad, both in Nepal and throughout the Himalayas, as well as in Africa.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
