Dr. Sam Cady graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse in 1999 after graduating cum laude from Duke University in 1994. Following a medical internship at the Maine Medical Center, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. He then served as a clinical glaucoma fellow at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in New York City.
Cady is a cataract and glaucoma specialist and practices at the Maine Eye Center in Portland, Maine. He is the President Elect of the Maine Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School, and an Assistant Clinical Instructor at the Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Cady has performed volunteer surgery in Honduras, Ethiopia, and Haiti.
