Exposed to the world of humanitarian healthcare through her husband, Dr. Michael Feilmeier, Jessica left a career in business development catering to Fortune 500 companies to dedicate her skills to the cause of global blindness prevention. As the President of the Gift of Sight, a charity that works to cover the cost of consumables needed to restore sight to patients living with a curable form of cataract blindness, Jessica oversees all logistical, marketing and fundraising efforts.Her expertise in solution-based marketing, brand development and event planning has aided her in championing many solution based initiatives that include: Snipe For Sight, Bike For Sight, Soccer For Sight, Night For Sight, Casino for Cataracts and Swim For Sight.

Jessica Feilmeier began her career in broadcasting upon graduating from San Diego State University, where she majored in Communications with an emphasis in Advertising and a minor in Political Science. Graduating with Honors, Jessica was the only graduate in her class to complete the SDSU’s Honors Program. She was also the recipient of the Dean Margery Warmer Woman of the Year Award for her role in founding Lambda Eta’s Pi Beta Chapter: SDSU’s 1st National Communications Honor Society.

Jessica lives in Elkhorn with her husband and their three sons, Jacob, Nicholas and William. In her free time, Jessica enjoys escaping to Okoboji, tending the family’s vineyard and playing tennis.
