Leahy Winter serves as Program Manager for the Himalayan Cataract Project, providing administrative and operational support necessary for program implementation. Her specific tasks include collaboration
with overseas partners, coordination of training and volunteer programs, budget oversight, data collection, and monitoring & evaluation of initiatives.
Winter comes to HCP with a thorough understanding of program development, experience implementing public health initiatives in low resource settings, and a passion for cultural diversity.
Winter attended Boston University, where she earned a B.A. in psychology with a minor in public health. After completing her undergraduate studies, she served in the Peace Corps as a health, water & sanitation volunteer in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Her work there inspired her to further her education in public health, and she returned to her home state of New York to complete an MPH program at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
Winter currently lives in Winooski, VT with her fiancé and works out of the Waterbury office.
