A graduate of Tufts University, Roger worked in rural community development in Sub-Saharan Africa for 8 years. He earned a masters in vocational education at the University of Vermont and coordinated training for Peace Corps in Central African Republic and Papua New Guinea, with some time off to travel around India, Burma and Thailand.
Back in Vermont, Clapp served as Deputy Commissioner for Agricultural Development and then Director of Program Initiatives for the Institute for Sustainable Communities. Most recently, Clapp was Executive Director for the March of Dimes in Vermont.
As Major Gifts Officer at HCP, he will be developing and managing donor relations to support our expanding global reach.
Roger and his wife Pam have two boys in middle school. The family enjoys skiing, soccer, hiking and endurance sports.
